i normally do about 1hr of exercise each day along with walking a few places and doing a few chores around the house.
I have been on holiday for about a week now and i have a small injury on my foot, this has stopped me for going running for two days. at my holiday destination my running route is un challenging, not many hills (opposed to running up this huge mountain once a week at home that takes me about 40mins) yesterday i was feeling really down that my foot is bung and i feel all my hard work that i have put into getting my body the way it is is begining to get fat, and a waste of time.
me and my bf are staying with his grandparents until like the 20th, they have this deep fryer and always have fish n chips, but i turn it down and just eat fruit.
im getting really adgitated because i cant workout how i do at home (i mix and match 30 or 40mins of belly dance, 40mins of zumba and 40mins of running) and i cant do that here and i swear im putting onm belly fat, my routine needs variety and my friken foot isnt working.
does anyone feel like this too, and what will happen to me, is it ok to skip 2 days of exercise a week (opposed to exercising everyday of the week and the occasional 1 day break once every two weeks)

So, I want to make the best & preferably easy deep-fried chicken strip batter I can with the ingredients I have.

Here’s what I have:

Milk, Eggs
All Purpose Flour, Seasoned Bread Crumbs
Salt & Pepper
Paprika
Onion powder, Garlic Powder
Crushed Red Pepper
& some extra vegetable oil that’s not being used in the deep fryer.

If anyone could help me put together a good batter recipe for chicken strips (with the ingredients I have), I would greatly, greatly appreciate it. The more suggestions and ideas, the better!

I have been using "Zatarain’s Chicken Frying Mix" "Crispy Southern Style", but I really want to try something different. I also have Aunt Jemima pancake & waffle mix and I heard that was fairly good as a batter, but I haven’t tried it yet.. and I don’t know if it is really worth trying. Tonight, I want to try making a batter of my own, either way.. but what do people think of using pancake mix as a batter?

Thanks to anyone & everyone who replies. I really do greatly appreciate the help and input.. so thank you very much in advance!

I know you measure with water in the fryer but do I put the turkey in the water frozen? Will that give an accurate measurement? Do I take the turkey out of the wrapping and stick it in the water? Will that ruin the turkey by getting water all in it? What do I do?

the food and into the fryer? I’m trying to develop a diet plan where everything is cooked in my deep fat fryer, I have started by using Sunflower oil, is that the best? How many times a year (and number of fry ups) do you need to change the oil and wash the little beauty? Is there anything that would be better cooked another way and does anyone want to buy a used oven, microwave and hob?

So about 5 years back my brother came home with an amazing recipe… Captain Crunch Chicken. We cut up boneless chicken into small chunks, breaded it in finely crushed Captain Crunch Cereal, and fried it either in a frying pan with a couple inches of oil or a deep fryer. It’s a pain in the butt, and the deep frying makes it even less healthy, but it’s DELICIOUS. I want to make it for my boyfriend and roommate tonight and I really don’t feel like frying it. How could I go about baking it to get the right flavor?

how is it compared to traditional baked turkey? also i seen a electric turkey fryer on qvc anyone used one and if so how did it perform?

Hi I’m new to deep fryer’s and I just got the t-fal ez clean for christmas. I wanted to know what the best oil to use in it. Also is just any oil suitable or will problems occur. It doesn’t say anywhere in the manual. Thanks

Okay, I know the foodies will probably eat me alive for this, but I much prefer Burger King or Ore-Ida style onion ‘ringers’ to actual onion rings. I just don’t like the texture of actual onion rings, but love the flavor. That being said, I have a deep fryer built into my stove and would love to be able to make my own at home. I’ve spent endless hours searching the internet for a recipe that’s even remotely similar, but can’t find a way to make onion ‘rings’ of ground up? onion. Anyone have any ideas? Someone has to know. I fear it’s something that can only be achieved on a mass-produced factory level. I love to make me some onion straws, but I so want to make my own faux rings. Anyone? Bueller?

I just got a huge deep fryer from QVC. I love frying catfish and shrimp in a prepackaged beer batter. I sprayed the basket with non-stick cooking spray, yet some of the batter and shrimp once cooked still stuck to the wire basket. Does anyone know how to keep this from happening? 10pts for the first best answer. Thanks.

My fiance plugged in a deep fryer and the plug that she used always worked. I came home and she told me that the outlet does not work neither the outlet the the fridge is hooked up to. I went to the breaker and one of the fuses was turned to off. i turned it back on. Nothing happens. I flipped the main. Nothing happened. So I took that one fuse out and tried to get another one but the guy told me nothing was wrong with it. All the other outlets in the kitchen work except for 3. I don’t have any reset buttons because the house is old. Any ideas???

Subject: KFC’s Chicken Recipe

Message: Here you go

KFC Original Fried Chicken
2?3 pounds cut?up chicken pieces
1 Quart Water
3 tablespoons Salt (for soaking)
1 cup milk
1 egg, beaten
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon Accent (MSG)
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
Soybean Oil (no substitutions) for frying
Allow chicken to soak in salted water for a half hour.
Mix egg and milk in a bowl. Mix flour, Accent, salt, and pepper
in another bowl. Preheat deep fryer to 350F, or place 3/4 inch
oil in a skillet set on medium.
Dry chicken with paper towels. Dredge in flour mixture, place in
milk/eggs, and then back to flour mixture. Do this one piece at
a time making sure that there is total coverage over entire
surface of chicken in each step.
KFC uses pressure cookers to fry chicken, which is risky to do
at home. If you are using a deep fryer, fry a few pieces at a
time for about 20 minutes, covered, turning occasionally.
Likewise, if pan frying, cook, covered, turning occasionally
for about 30 minutes. As always with chicken, check the middle
of a large piece to check for doneness.
Allow to drain on paper towels when cooking is completed.

I’m so happy that koolaid is dripping from my eyes.

I have a home model deep fryer, I think it says it hold 3 quarts, either way it is a lot, what is the best thing to do with this to dispose of it?

I don’t think down the garbage disposal would be a good idea, any thoughts?
