Can you use peanut oil in the Emerilware Deep Fryer?
Hello All,
My fiance bought me an Emerilware Deep Fryer (http://www.emerilstore.com/prodinfo.asp?number=42EW701) for Christmas and I want to fry some chicken in it. Anyway, the deep fryer directions say for best results to use vegetable oil, but his recipe calls for peanut oil. Is it ok to use peanut oil in this deep fryer? The directions only reference vegetable oil and shortening.
Thanks!

YES…..got the same fryer for christmas also. Funny enough I have also fried chicken in peanut oil in it too. The only reason to use peanut oil is because it has a higher burning point than vegetable oil. Go ahead and fry away!!!
yes you can
