I’ve been looking around for a deep fryer to make bloomin onions (like at outback steakhouse) mainly. Most of the ones I’m finding are too shallow for an entire onion. I need a reccomendation for one that can fit a whole onion, preferebly stainless steel and less than 0.

I have a deep fryer that is only a couple of years old. I have cleaned it before but it took forever and was a b*tch. It is stainless steal. If you have cleaned your before and found a simple way of doing so PLEASE fill me in with your secrets!!! Thank you
It has a removable bucket where the oil is held. I must also add that its not just a normal cleaning after a couple of uses. There is some oil that is cooked on so it is going to take more then just soap and water. that is what I have tried in the past and it takes forever.

The cooking oil doesn’t build up on the basket and I wash it in my dishwasher. But the "pan" is gummy above the level of the oil and around the top edges of the pan. SOS pads, hot water and Dawn dishwashing deterget aren’t getting the job done. Can anyone help? Thanks

I have a small Rival fryer and all the baskets I’ve found are too big to fit inside. There are some smaller pasta baskets available, but I don’t know if it’s safe to use a pasta basket in the fryer.

It had some very stuck-on food in the crevices, etc. so I soaked it in vinegar and water and now it’s rusted. Can it be cleaned, and how? Is it safe to use after cleaning? Should I "season" it?
